New York City 2015

For the first time in 13 months Nick and I took a little vacation from the kids. And by vacation I mean we spent 4 wonderful days in New York City!! Although, we missed the kids terribly we loved spending time together. We loved having last minutes plans, eating late, sleeping in, and focusing on just having FUN. When Nick said that he had business in New York and that I could go with him I said "I want pizza and to ride up the Empire State building". I think I am pretty easy to please. It proved to be a perfectly magical trip and one I never want to forget (not that I ever could). 

Highlights from the Trip

1. Spending time with Kim and Abe! 

2. Seeing Finding Neverland on Broadway

3. Having our hotel be in the center of Time Square and constantly feeling the energy of that place

4. Riding up the Empire State Building

5. Eating at some of the best pizzerias in the city. This was my most memorable part of the trip...eating pizza, drinking a diet coke, and having nothing to do but talk for hours with Nick.

6. Seeing the Statue of Liberty with such a beautiful sunset behind her

7. Riding the Staten Island Ferry and standing in the freezing cold to get a perfect glimpse of the city skyline.

8. Seeing the huge and real Rockefeller tree. 

9. Eating at Seredipity 

10. Walking for miles and miles and miles and constantly thinking "oh my gosh this is so amazing"

11. Best of all... seeing Nick an Abe do so well with their Fortune Knowledge Group interview. It is very intimidating to be in a live studio with lights and people and be expected to answer a question perfectly. But they pulled it off and I am so proud!

New York is a city really is the city that never sleeps. It has a constant energy and the whole time Nick and I were like "we could totally live here". Not really, but it definitely sounds fun. The best observation that Nick made was this " New York is one giant mall with a million stores and the food court intersperesed throughout". That about sums it up. Next time we go I want to see every last museum and of course eat more pizza!
