Jackson 5 Months

It has been a month full of drool, runny noses, teething, mild fevers, and starting solids. Not our best month! But through it all he has been adorable and so smiley. He is always very happy and giggly in the morning and loves to snuggle with Alice/Scarlett when they climb in his crib. He takes a morning nap, afternoon nap, and wakes up routinely around 4-5am for a quick snack. Even if he takes a great nap he wakes up crying and will not calm down until I nurse him.  Even then he keeps his eyes shut until he has finished nursing. It is a funny little Jack quirk that I love. I call him my baby piglet when he does it and I squish his chubby legs. Jack is the most perfect, calm, resilient, accommodating and lovable boy we could ever ask for.

Funny Nicknames
1. Jack
2. Jackie (scarlett)
3. Jackie boy
4. Boyo
5. Mr. Man
6. The Baby

Sofie the Giraffe toy gets chewed ALL day long. I got it out of desperation!

General Conference around the country

On Easter morning (Sunday session of general conference) my dad sent out this text to all of us Camp kids...
" Happy Easter to All. Mom and I are watching conference at the cabin. It's my prayer that each of you receive comfort, direction or the inspiration you need from conference today. As the grandchildren watch conference today have them draw a picture or write about something they learned today to send to grandpa"

These are the pictures we all sent.
Me: "Had to sneak in a picture while they sit still and are somewhat paying attention"

Brady( Texas): "We can actually listen with Addie taking a nap and the kids doing activities on the table"

Kim (Utah): "Paisley's profound notes"

Caity won for funniest. She is currently in Georgia for work and we miss her like crazy!

Abe: "how conference looks around here. She is a true Camp"

I loved receiving these text messages from my siblings over the course of the morning session of conference. I loved seeing all of them watching conference and feeling close to them despite being so far apart. I felt united to my family and so very close to them. We are bonded by this wonderful gospel and for that I am profoundly grateful. I feel so blessed to have siblings and parents that are strong int he gospel, kind, service oriented, and amazing examples. I love them all!

Spring Break 2015

Despite having some coughs and runny noses we had a great spring break. Before spring break started I sat down with the girls and made a super fun list of all the activities they wanted to do. Here it is:

1. Dye eggs
2. Have a picnic at the park
3. Play with cousins
4. Get slurpees
5. Eat at McDonalds (get happy meals with a toy)
6. Make play dough
7. Make sugar cookies
8. Go to the Children's Museum with Emily
9. Have lots of egg hunts
10. Go to the Lake Mead with Milne family ( I added this one)
11. Go swimming at LifeTime Fitness with dad and eat snacks
12. Dress themselves and pick out their own outfits all week! (just look at what they are wearing in the pictures:)

He did every single one of them and had a blast!

Favorite outfit she chose and a dirty slurp face

 And then we slept...a lot!!
My mom gave them these babies dolls for Easter and then have not put them down for almost 1 full week.

Easter 2015

We loved having a relaxing morning and listening to conference while eating candy and coloring. There is something so special about listening to the apostles and prophet on Easter morning. It is a perfect reminder of the beauty of this special day. Here is my favorite quote from my favorite talk by Brent H. Nielson

" All of us fall short of the glory of the Father. All of us need the Savior's atonement to heal us. All of us are lost and all of us need to be found"

I love knowing that because of my sweet Savior I can be made whole and live with my family forever. Because of him " death has no sting, the grave no victory, and Satan no lasting power".

Alice found the golden egg...that lucky, lucky girl!

Thank you dad for teaching me first hand the love my Savior has for me and the immense power of the atonement . "Today we celebrate the gift of victory. Victory over every fall we've ever experienced, every sorrow we've ever known, every discouragement we've had, every fear we've faced. To say nothing of resurrection from death and forgiveness for our sins." Jeffery R. Holland.
