I want to remember

While doing work downstairs I turned the TV on for Scarlett. She usually just plays and never watches. But today... she went to her room pulled all her blankets from her bed and snuggled up on the couch. She has been peacefully watching cartoons for an hour. She looks so cute!

She has also be obsessed with saying 'please". It sounds like "peas". It is adorable and melts my heart. I usually give her whatever she asks, it is just so darn cute. Now she thinks "peas" means "i want that, give it to me". Oh well, at least it sounds polite. Especially when she says "tank you" after.

When she is done eating and wants out of her high chair she always says "all done". If I don't do it quick enough she starts to say it louder and louder. Then she gets her hands involved lifting them above her head with her palms out, "All done mom, MOM all done".

She is going to teach the new baby all her wonderful tricks. Good!

Motherhood just got better

We are starting to use a new computer system at work and I have been doing data input at home. To keep Scarlett happy and entertained she has been using her baby pool. She loves it, especially when she is naked. Sure why not. I will tell you why not....

(Picture of baby poo, my mom made me take it off. Come on it's just baby poo)

That is why not! She ran up to me with a very worried look. Then she squatted and this bad boy appeared. It freaked her and me out. She said "ewe" over and over, then she started to cry. It was kinda cute, except for the poop smell. We talked about how "stink" goes in the potty or diaper. She put the stink in the toilet and flushed, then started to cry. She just walked up to the scene of the accident and started crying again. . Now she is touching her bottom and saying "ewe". I hope potty training is not this emotional.

"ewe mom, ewe mom"

Summer has started...come over

Our days have been pretty routine. Nothing out of the ordinary or different. I think that is why I am shocked, absolutely shocked, that September is half way over. I am still getting excited for summer to come. I completely missed out on summer and all of it's hot glory. I really didn't go swimming or to the lake much or layout while reading a good book and drinking a cold beverage (my favorite). I feel like summer was a grey fog, a weird dream, and I am just now waking up. I want summer!! I am not getting pregnant at the beginning of summer again (2 times is enough). I like it way to much to let if pass by without a proper celebration. Spring next time. Who really likes spring anyway, it is just a wet extension of winter. I literally had to go look at my old posts to see what we did for July 4th. That is just wrong. So wrong in fact that I saw a baby pool in my neighbors trash (because apparently summer is over) and I brought it home. The nice thing about Vegas is that it will be every where elses summer weather until November. We are doing summer over my house until then.

She loved it. Then she got naked and the real party started

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great weekend with both some adventure and relaxation. For the adventure we went with our friends the Lee's on a lake sleep over. We stayed over on Friday night and went boating all day on Saturday. It was fantastic and the weather was perfect (no wind and not too hot). I worried about Scarlett but she never ceases to amaze. Went right to bed in the tent and had a blast all day, even without a nap. Nick made these fantastic tinfoil dinners we ate on Friday. It's official, he needs to cook more. My favorite part was seeing Scarlett's excited face in the morning when realized she was not in her crib. She looked out of the tent and just kept saying "wow". I do love her. The rest of the weekend was just relaxation. Traditional Labor Day breakfast at my mom's house with swimming and then we all took naps. Oh and we went to dinner on Monday with Nick's parents and then to the District ferris wheel. Scarlett cried when we took her off. I do love her.

Scarlett loved the tube. Nick tried to bring her over to his seat and she would have none of it. While the boat was going she crawled over to her seat. When Nick tried again to bring her closer she pushed his hands away. She is just one independent gal.

Funny pregnancy things
1. I drove off to work without my bra. I have the worst memory while pregnant. I drove home and Nick threw my bra to me from the garage. Sad thing is, I never even put it on. That is one good thing about being a AA. Is that TMI for a blog? Oh well.

2. I stayed a little late at work one day (about 7:15) and got so hungry driving home I picked up a pizza. I ate almost the whole thing. I get starving while pregnant, like really, really starving. It was delicious and completely guilt free.

3. 16 weeks and starting to show. I am feeling much better but still am super tired all the time. I was brushing my teeth the other morning and gaged myself. It did not end well. Darn gag reflex gets me every time. Scarlett faked gag/throwing up all day.
