Easter

Scarlett loved Easter. Why? All she ate was candy. Started it off with a jellybean/M&M hunt that lead to her easter basket. Middle was candy at church. Ended it off with tons of candy at aunt Tiffany's house. She is one lucky little girl. We taught primary for the first time on Sunday (our new calling). The kids talked about why they love Easter. One little girl said "I love Easter because the atonement lets me be with my family forever." What a perfect answer.

Bonnie Springs

This past Saturday the Strobelt family got together and went to enjoy the day at Bonnie Springs. We went to the park and played ball/ate sandwiches/ran around. It is a beautiful park nestled up in the mountains. It is always 5 degrees cooler than Vegas, which makes it the perfect temperature, add a breeze and it was the perfect afternoon. After the park we went to Bonnie Springs to see the animals. Scarlett was not into petting the goats or donkeys, she wanted to pet the kitties (aka mountain lions). Smart girl for knowing they are kitties but not too smart at all. Then she was happy running around and chasing the chickens. I let her. It was cute. When we came home we all crashed!
Scarlett poked a chicken with a stick, it flew away and there were eggs

The chickens finally gave up and went into this tree

FREEDOM

those two rocks did not leave her hands till we got home

For all you doubters...see she does want to put EVERYTHING in her mouth

12 hour days

So I started working 12 hours days. Worked asked me to go full time and I just could not do that. Nick 100% agreed so we compromised with work. I do two 12 hour days with some work at home. The days are long but seeing 25-35 patients makes it go super quick. I come home exhausted/hungry/tired/ some what cranky. But then there is Nick. I love him. I love him a lot. I think I love him more today than I ever have. I came home to delicious chicken tacos and a happy/clean little girl. Nick did it all. He drops her off at the babysitter, goes to work, picks her up, gets her dinner, baths her, gets me dinner and then he says "thanks Jill for working hard." I married THE best man.

P.S. you are right, dinner does taste so much better when someone else makes it!!

Reversed

I was 16 and at Smith's buying groceries for my mom when out of the blue the cashier asked me "are you Jon Camp's daughter?". She had not seen my name anywhere. I replied like I always did/do " Yes". What she said next I have heard like a million times "oh, cause you look just like him". I do, except I have hair. When I was seven I was at this age when I wanted to slick back my hair like a boy. I would hair spray the life out of my hair to make it stay. Anyway, it totally worked. If you hold up a picture of my dad in second grade and me in second grade there is literally no difference. I love looking like my dad. I love when people ask if I am his. He is a great man. When people find out I am his daughter I'm immediately more respected. They think I am smart, spiritual, hard working, diligent. He makes me look good:)

Last week my dad was taking care of a patient when they asked "did you have a daughter in nursing school last year?". He said "yes, Jill Strobelt". My dad finally got to hear "oh cause you look just like her." When he told me that story we just laughed and laughed. It has come full circle. I just hope I make him look good!

Look at my smile and find the little boy who has a smile just like mine... that's my dad!

Guess the crooked smile stuck

Easter Bread

My dear friend Candi came over yesterday and together we made 16 loaves of bread. Delicious, chewey, sweet, Easter Bread (as aunt Mary Rita calls it). Oh man, put a little butter on it and it is to die for (diet, what diet?) I am no baker so this is an accomplishment. It turned out fabulous! We opened my balcony door and let the breeze in. It was a perfect day to cook, well all day. Worth every minute!

(view from my balcony, they look like grapes)
