Reversed

I was 16 and at Smith's buying groceries for my mom when out of the blue the cashier asked me "are you Jon Camp's daughter?". She had not seen my name anywhere. I replied like I always did/do " Yes". What she said next I have heard like a million times "oh, cause you look just like him". I do, except I have hair. When I was seven I was at this age when I wanted to slick back my hair like a boy. I would hair spray the life out of my hair to make it stay. Anyway, it totally worked. If you hold up a picture of my dad in second grade and me in second grade there is literally no difference. I love looking like my dad. I love when people ask if I am his. He is a great man. When people find out I am his daughter I'm immediately more respected. They think I am smart, spiritual, hard working, diligent. He makes me look good:)

Last week my dad was taking care of a patient when they asked "did you have a daughter in nursing school last year?". He said "yes, Jill Strobelt". My dad finally got to hear "oh cause you look just like her." When he told me that story we just laughed and laughed. It has come full circle. I just hope I make him look good!

Look at my smile and find the little boy who has a smile just like mine... that's my dad!

Guess the crooked smile stuck

  2. Oh my heck- -is he the one on the far right of that picture? When I looked at him I thought, "he looks like Scarlett!!" And you, of course!

If that's not the right little boy, he looks like Scarlett anyway =0)
