Summer Cabin Trip

The cabin was So much fun as always!! Fishing, four wheeler rides, horse back riding, and hours crafting. It was so,so nice to get out of Vegas during the hottest week of the year. I loved getting out of our routine and focusing on the kids and fun. It has been kinda hard summer keeping the kids happy and doing activities with a baby. We have had a lot of long hard days. But this week was just all fun and we loved it! Best part was riding the horse with Jack. He was a riot. 

Jack “mom are those elephants” 

Mom “nope those are sheep”

Jack “a horse goes moo” 

Mom “nope, a horse goes neigh” 

City boy for sure! 

Callen 6 Months

My sweet baby boy is 6 months and it has gone by in a flash! In the last 2-3 weeks Callen has had a growth explosion. He got 2 teeth, started eating solids, learned to sit up, and is on his way to crawling. He literally grew up over night! But he is more smiley than ever and we all ADORE him! I love nursing him in he middle of the night and kissing his soft cheeks in the moon light. He is always sound asleep but I see a smile form when I kiss him and snuggle him close. I LOVE that middle of night feeding time to be with him and love on him. And I know he loves it too. In fact, he loves nursing and being with me more than ever! If nick get him in the middle of the night he totally loses it and won’t calm down unless I get him. I am probably creating a monster but none of my babies have wanted me like this. I like it! 

Callen loves to roll around and be with his siblings. He is still warming up to Jack’s intensity but for the most part he loves it all. The girls can do it all. They change him, feed him, play with him, and always get him up from his naps. I love having the help! I will miss them when they go back to school in 2 weeks. 

It’s been a busy and hard couple of months. Nick has been working a ton of late nights, leaving me home to take care of the kids alone. We have also had the stress of both of our sisters getting divorced. I am so glad Callen is here to smile and snuggle me. Those moments sitting and nursing him have brought me so much peace. (Backup) July 4th 2018

Such a great day and I loved it all. Woke up early for a morning of boating and followed that up by naps at home. On the evening we met up with Strobelt and Camp family at Cafe Rio and enjoyed dinner together. After nick put on a super loud and crazy firework show at our house. It was a perfect summer day! 

Callen 5 Months

Callen is a total sweetheart! He has turned into such a chill, happy, adaptable, easy kid. I love nursing him to sleep and smothering his cheeks with kisses while he sleeps. At 5 months my other kids didn’t really nurse to sleep but Callen does for almost every nap and for sure to bed. He is totally out and I just stare at him and kiss his warm face. Ahhhh I just love those moments. I am also really loving his middle of the night feeding. He is so excited to see me and is so snuggly. I love those tender moments when it’s just me and him. 

Callen loves to play with his feet and chew on his hands. In fact, I rarely had his hands out of his mouth. What does this mean? Drool!! So much drool and I bet he gets his first tooth soon. 

Callen loves attention and watching his siblings play. He loves to roll around with his toys and just be a part of our family. Callens most beautiful feature are his big blue eyes and bright smile. He makes friends where ever he goes with those 2 things. He is a complete joy and we all adore him!
