Jackson 12 Months

Jack is 12 months and has really grown up the last couple of weeks. The night before he turned 1 I rocked him to sleep, like I always do, and nursed him for the last time. Those hours spent nursing him have been my favorite. No distraction, just him and me in our rocking chair. It has been such a wonderful year of nursing, smiles, tears, growing, happy days, long nights, and bonding. He has three little mothers that adore him and look out for his every move. I was nervous for a son and loving him like I did my girls. But Jack is so easy to love! He is quick to smile, slow to laugh, and always content. I love having him climb into bed with me in the morning and having him crawl all over me. He just beams as he pulls my hair and pokes my face. My favorite is when he leans his face down and gives me a kiss. I know he feels the love we all have for him. Last night I was telling him "Jack you are my happy boy" and he smiled and said "happy". Oh Jack we love you!

12 Things about Jack
1. He has started to have opinions and yells/screams when he doesn't get his way
2. He does his high pitched scream when the girls take his toys away
3. He love yogurt, mac n cheese, bananas, and applesauce. Not a cheese fan
4. He still wakes up at night. Will I miss this one day? Oh probably not!
5. He stands with great balance but only will take 2-3 steps
6. Will only go to sleep if I rock him. I really love those quiet moments together
7. The whole house is his playground and loves to roam free. One of the girls usually follows after him to keep him safe.
8. Goes to bed promptly at 7pm!
9. Waves "Hi" like a movie star and it melts peoples hearts
10. Says "hi", "dada", and "happy". He says it quietly and you have to hold your ear close to his mouth to hear him.
11. Will sit content in his stroller where ever we go. I put snacks on his tray and he rarely fusses.
12. Jack is the most perfect puppy I always wanted. Loyal, happy, full of energy, tender, snuggly, and brings a smile to your face.

This picture is so special to me. I have one just like when he was a newborn. He was snuggled against me and now he is fighting to get lose. Amazing what a year brings! I remember the first night we were together in the hospital. He was cold and I snuggled him into my gown right next to me. He slept the rest of the night nestled in my arms. It was just him and me and I loved that first night together with no one else to bother us.

Jack's most notable feature and something that EVERYONE comments on- his beautiful blue eyes

I love you my sweet boy!
