Christmas 2013

It was a Christmas to remember! I feel so blessed to have spent with all the people I love, just like I am able to do every years. On Christmas Eve I woke up very early to get some wrapping and cooking done. While I worked I listened to the a couple talks on Christmas. One by Rosemary Wixom really stood out to me. She told a story of a little boy named Thomas who upon hearing the events of Christ's birth asked "well, what happened next?" The true gift of Christmas is "what happens next". It is His life, miracles, atonement and his final death upon the cross. His wonderful life makes my family an eternal one!

Top 5 of Christmas
1. Spending Christmas Eve with Emily at Tiffany's house and eating delicious prime rib. I always loving blending family and being able to spent it with both!
2. Seeing Alice get so excited Christmas morning over her M&M's in her stocking.
3. Watching Scarlett play for hours with her new toys that she just loves! Santa did good;)
4. Getting my new kindle from Nick
5. My favorite...playing Christmas duets with my sisters. We surprised my mom and all pulled out our instruments and put on a concert. My dad pipes up "well, this is the most expensive concert I have ever been too". After all the money spent on lessons, instruments, band/orchestra events I believe he is very correct!

We had a wonderful Christmas season and I am already looking forward to next year! Well, I am literally getting in the car and driving up to spend time at the cabin. The fun just never stops:)

  1. Awesome photos (if I do say so myself on some of them). I guess finally getting some photos of me and my family is my reward for regularly viewing and commenting on your blog. Sweet!
