Christmas 2012

We celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas with the Strobelts but we did have my parents over to our house Christmas morning for breakfast. It was perfect! I love being able to open presents with those who give them, it makes it that much more special. I love the holidays and feel so blessed to be able to always spend it with those I love.

Christmas Eve we did some last minute shopping with Caity and had lunch at Grimaldi's pizza. I love how the spur of the moment events usually are the best.

Caity is heading up to Salt Lake this semester to do an internship for the Church. She is reading, transcribing, and editing Joseph Smith letters. What a dream!

Christmas Eve

baby's first christmas

Sammy and Alice. It is shocking but Alice is 3 months older. He is a big boy!

British tradition of crackers. My favorite are the paper crowns, everyone gets one and we wear them all night.

 opening jammies
Christmas jammies from my mom. Love how Alice is trying to get that candy cane
Matching jammies from the Strobelt's. I adore them and may have worn them all week long

 Chrismas Day
Alice got the mega blocks and table.

Scarlett got dolls for her doll house, finally. This doll house has been empty for over a year.

See that pink car, it is her favorite. She shoves everything in it and drives it all over the house while singing little songs. She is such a gem.

She loved christmas morning and opening up her presents. We still have all her toys upstairs so she can play with them. Each morning she runs to see them and exclaims "mom, Santa came again!" Children make Christmas magical.

So glad my parents were able to come over for breakfast. My mom brought over some presents for Nate, Caity and Clarah to open. We were just talking and laughing while they were opening them and did not even notice at first that they had opened up i-phones. We then screamed!

These two adore each other

After breakfast we headed over to Tiffany's for more presents and to spend the day

Nick got golf clubs. He works so hard with school and a full time job. I hope he can spend some much deserved time on the golf range

Slippers from Papa and Grandma. When you step on them the eyelids open and shut.

Nick suprised me with this gorgeous watch. I love it! My watch of 5 years broke a couple months ago and I have been lost without it. I am so excited to have one again and not have to search for what time it is.

I gave Nick this. It needs some explaining. In September Nick's grandparents from England came into town. His grandpa Richard was selling his pipe collection to a buyer while he was in Vegas. It was a huge collection, over 2,000 pipes. Most were Dunhill pipes, Nick's great- grandpa's company. Richard graciously let Nick pick any pipe he wanted from the collection. Well, Nick picked this one and loves it.  The white dot on the mouth piece means it is a Dunhill pipe. I surprised him and had it framed so he could put it in his new office at work. I told Nick it is a great conversation starter :) I am so proud of Nick's strong British heritage and am excited to tell our children all about it as they grow.
