Blessing/Homecoming extravaganza

My little brother came home from his mission on May 14. He served in the Las Vegas West mission and loved it! We could not have been more proud of him and his faithful service. He left a boy and came back a MAN. He had his homecoming the following Sunday and since all the family was in town Emily and I decided to bless our babies that Sunday as well. It was a Camp  extravaganza!! Here is the quick synopsis

Monday late Nate came home
(with his mission president as he was leaving)

Tuesday- we all came over to see nate and go swimming/ have a blast

Thusday- my brother Brady and sister Caity came into town and we went to Sammie's Pizza

Friday- we had a big family BBQ with ALL my siblings, granparents, and aunt Pasty and uncle Scott.

Saturday- We went to a mid-morning breakfast at I-Hop and then Clarah's last band concert in the Afternoon. She is gorgeous! We went back to the house that evening for more swimming and games.

(Apples to Apples- best play of the night. I laid down the card "elegant" and Jordan, dripping with irony, laid down "trailer park". I am laughing right now)

(My brother has the most contagious laugh, I wish he and his family lived closer. Every time he leaves I get a pit in my stomach, I miss him)

Sunday- Camp party! Spencer James Flake blessing, Alice Strobelt blessing, and Elder Camp homecoming address. My brother served in a mission close to home so he was lucky to have a family he converted come to his homecoming. We all got to meet them and see the fruit of my brothers righteous service. The father of this family had been investigating for 10 years but was unable to fully committ. When talking with him he kept on saying how grateful he was Elder Camp went on a mission for he was able to help in a way no other missionary could. My brothers mission was difficult, especially having to serve just miles from home. But he never lost his focus and faith. We are so proud of him!

(a small fraction of the group)

(my father-in-law with new baby Sammy)

(another Patricia, my aunt, with Alice Patricia)

I love my family, both my little one and my big huge one. When everybody left it felt to empty. But we will see everyone soon and get to party some more.
