While Emily and I were tromping around Utah Nick and the boys (Abe, Noah, Brady, Jordan, and my dad) +Caity (who took Nate's spot) went up to Alaska to deep sea fish. Nick had the time of his life and I am so glad he likes to eat fish because we have a freezer full! They got halibut (called "but" by those who know), salmon, red snapper, cod, and other "rock fish". I better get good at cooking fish cause that is what's for dinner! Here is Nick's top 5 list...
1. Playing scrabble with everyone via ipad/iphone
2. eating great/lots of food (but not better than Jill's :)
3. Jacuzzi after fishing
4. Witnessing first hand beautiful Alaska
5. Fishing, Fishing, Fishing
Oh and having homemade chocolate chip cookies at 8:30 every night. Sportsman Cove (the place they stayed) just pampered these boys. They also have a chef on staff that would make them pretty much anything. What? Nick said he loved every minute and I believe him. Thanks dad for putting this together!

He is getting too big. Just yesterday he was a chubby little baby with curly hair.
Where they chop the fish after each day. Now it is in my freezer. Yummy!
The bat Jordan is holding is what they hit the fish with after they reel it up. Gruesome and awesome all at once.
A boat that nets fish...I think?
Fishing in Alaska is a really wonderful experience.
