It's Earth day. I am sitting here guilty as the beautiful rain hits my window. I am, by far, the most non-"green" person you will ever meet. I leave the water running while brushing my teeth, don't have time to recycle or plant a garden, and always ask for my milk to be double bagged at the grocery store (don't want it falling out). Looking back I could blame it on my mom (it's always easy to blame your poor mother). I wanted to recycle when I was 8 years old and when I asked her she looked at me and said "NO". But bless her heart she was in the height of raising 7 dirty children and the last thing she wanted to do was dig/sort her garbage.
While I was taking Scarlett to her doctor's appointment I could not help but notice the Earth I have been given. Today is stunning. The clouds are low and gray in the sky with just the slightest bit of rain. I love days like this. I really should be better and have decided to "go green". Not all crazy and weird but just be more loving of Mother Earth. Afterall, she is a women and us women have to stick together.
I honor of my "going green" I made cupcakes without the paper wrapper (who cares if I looked and realized I ran out:)
