Winter Break Cabin Trip

We drove up to the Cabin on New Years Day and had such a fantastic time!! The Flakes were up there with Mom/Dad and Brady's family. Our families have to much fun together because our kids are all the same ages. What a dream!! The kids constantly played in the snow and Scarlett had a great time skiing with Ella and her boy cousins. There was not very much snow so we were able to take the kids on 4 wheeler rides all over town (which they loved). It also made it nice to play in the snow since no one was getting stuck or tired from walking in deep snow. Of course we stayed up too late eating junk food and playing games. Family really isthe best and we all love being together!

New Years Eve 2017

We all had so much fun this year on New Years Eve. We blew up a bunch of balloons and put activities in them. The kids would pop one every 30 minutes starting at 6pm. We played games, danced, made brownies, watched funny YouTube videos, listened to the top 2017 music hits, made crowns, and had a super mario competition. The kids LOVED it!! We rang in the new year on East coast time and watched the ball drop in NYC. This was quite possibly the best NYE ever!! 

Christmas 2017

We had such a magical Christmas season and an even more magical Christmas morning. Nick and I stayed up ALL night putting all the toys together on Christmas Eve. Those kids hit the jackpot with scooters, wiggle cars, bikes, scooters, and a trampoline (which we surprised them with after all the presents were open). This year the girls wanted tons of hatchimals, American Girl doll cloths, other "small cool toys". So we unwrapped about 100 hatchimals and the kids went crazy!! They all were so grateful and polite and their faces were pure joy. My parents came over with Caity/Ryan to watch us open presents. There is just something so magical and wonderful about watching children open presents. We all loved it! We went over to Tiffany's house in the afternoon to spend time with Strobelts and then headed to my parents for Christmas dinner. It had to have been my favorite adult Christmas so far. The kids were totally into it this year and it was so fun taking part in all the magic/craziness/present giving/tradition making/fun times!! I just LOVED every second!
