Mothers Day 2015

I love Mother's Day! I love seeing my social media flood with pictures of and wonderful sentiments about mothers. I love seeing my girls get so excited about celebrating the day with me and the wonderful breakfast they help make. I love spending the day thinking about the role I play in their lives and the role my own mother played in mine. Nothing brings me more joy than being a mother and raising my children. Children embody everything wonderful attribute I hope to possess. They are kind, forgiving, meek and humble. I feel so blessed to have their Christ-like example in my life and feel of their wonderful goodness everyday.

"One cannot forget mother and remember God. One cannot remember mother and forget God. Why? Because these two sacred persons, God and mother, partners in creation in love, in sacrifice, in service, are as one." Thomas S. Monson

My grandmother was recently diagnosed with Alzheimers disease. It breaks my heart to see her mind slowly deteriorate and her spunky personality become calm and sober. But she still remembers me and last weekend at Nate's wedding she came up and gave me the biggest hug. I always feel so loved when she is around. My grandma has a wonderful ability to spread love and cheer where ever she goes. I know its probably not true but I swear I am her favorite! That is how she always made me feel and I will never forget that.

Nate and Brynna's Wedding

This weekend might possible be the best weekend of 2015!! I was able to spend time with every single member of my family, down to the tiniest Savannah. There is no gift I could ever want more than to spend time with all the people I love most. Nate and Brynna's wedding was beautiful and so very special. As they were sitting in the sealing room holding hands I noticed the wonderful glow around Nate. As as I watched I had an overwhelming desire to see my sweet Jack marry the woman of his dreams. I can not wait to see the amazing man he will become and witness all the wonderful events of his life. I am sure my mother felt such pride and joy as she watched Nate be married. Though my children's' births have become the most exciting and best days the most important day of my life will always be the day I married Nick. Our eternal marriage makes every day we spend together as a family more meaningful.

We have been looking forward to this wedding for months. Scarlett has asked me just about every day when the wedding is. She loved every second and especially loved watching Nate and Brynna cut their cake and smash it into each others face. She will be talking about this day for months to come.

This most sweet baby girl was blessed today. If only she new how loved she was. One day she will understand the deep love this whole family has for her. I for one adore her!

Jackson 5 Months

It has been a month full of drool, runny noses, teething, mild fevers, and starting solids. Not our best month! But through it all he has been adorable and so smiley. He is always very happy and giggly in the morning and loves to snuggle with Alice/Scarlett when they climb in his crib. He takes a morning nap, afternoon nap, and wakes up routinely around 4-5am for a quick snack. Even if he takes a great nap he wakes up crying and will not calm down until I nurse him.  Even then he keeps his eyes shut until he has finished nursing. It is a funny little Jack quirk that I love. I call him my baby piglet when he does it and I squish his chubby legs. Jack is the most perfect, calm, resilient, accommodating and lovable boy we could ever ask for.

Funny Nicknames
1. Jack
2. Jackie (scarlett)
3. Jackie boy
4. Boyo
5. Mr. Man
6. The Baby

Sofie the Giraffe toy gets chewed ALL day long. I got it out of desperation!

General Conference around the country

On Easter morning (Sunday session of general conference) my dad sent out this text to all of us Camp kids...
" Happy Easter to All. Mom and I are watching conference at the cabin. It's my prayer that each of you receive comfort, direction or the inspiration you need from conference today. As the grandchildren watch conference today have them draw a picture or write about something they learned today to send to grandpa"

These are the pictures we all sent.
Me: "Had to sneak in a picture while they sit still and are somewhat paying attention"

Brady( Texas): "We can actually listen with Addie taking a nap and the kids doing activities on the table"

Kim (Utah): "Paisley's profound notes"

Caity won for funniest. She is currently in Georgia for work and we miss her like crazy!

Abe: "how conference looks around here. She is a true Camp"

I loved receiving these text messages from my siblings over the course of the morning session of conference. I loved seeing all of them watching conference and feeling close to them despite being so far apart. I felt united to my family and so very close to them. We are bonded by this wonderful gospel and for that I am profoundly grateful. I feel so blessed to have siblings and parents that are strong int he gospel, kind, service oriented, and amazing examples. I love them all!
