Brian Head

So it's a tradition to go skiing up at the cabin after Christmas. Of course I can not go, seeing that I am giving birth in 8 weeks. But Nick had fun teaching Chole, Clarah, and Caity how to snowboard. It is such a good sport but I know he really enjoyed it. The weather was beautiful both days we were up there. We took Scarlett out in the snow and she loved it. Every time we tried to go inside she would pull on Nick's finger back outside. She is an adventurous one.

Chole turned 18 while up there... she was really excited about it

This is Chloe's favorite past time. Oh to be 18 again

About to play games

She got real good at catching snow balls

Christmas

We did Christmas morning at our house with just the three of us. We loved it. Nick spent hours putting her kitchen together but it was worth it. She is learning how to play with it and loves to put on the oven mitts. Her favorite part is the microwave, she puts the food in and pushes all the buttons. It is amazing what she has picked up on from watching me cook. Her next favorite part is taking every last piece of food out of the cupboards and putting it in her shopping cart. She is adorable! After christmas morning we went to church with my parents and headed back to their house for Christmas dinner and presents. By the end of the day Scarlett was pro at opening presents and loved to open everybody elses. It was the most perfect day.

Nick pretty much has to go to the forrest and cut the wood himself. Good thing he is handy with tools.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve over at Tiffany's house. We had a great dinner, a christmas program, read the Night Before Christmas, and of course opened "crackers". Scarlett just LOVES her cousins and cried when we had to leave.

Her Party

She was slightly confused when we sang happy birthday to her.

Scarlett 2 years old

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I can not believe it! This year has just flown by and I mean FLOWN by. My baby is two and I am a little teary. It just went by so quick I hope I soaked all her cuteness in. It is amazing how much we love this little girl. She has brought so much joy to our family. We both check on her before we go to bed and we can't resist giving her a ton of kisses.

Her cuteness includes
-giving tight hugs around the neck
- ask her "how much she loves you" and she opens her arms big
- loves to watch Tangled and dance/twirl to the music
- loves to brush my hair
- loves her shoes and bows, she asks for a bow all day but put it in and out it goes
- says "jacket" in the cutest way
- loves balloons and balls, especially her bouncy ball
- asks to read books whenever we are in her room
- favorite book is Goodnight Moon
- points to the moon whenever we see it and says "muuen"
- when we leave she says "see ya later guys"
- she can say a prayer but you can not understand anything
- asks to watch "a show" after breakfast every morning
- favorite shows are Curious George and Cat in the Hat
- loves to do things herself, like getting in and out of the car
- most of all she LOVES her dad. They are the best buddies. She will tell me all day "daddy at work". When she hears the garage door open she runs down the stairs to see him. It is adorable!

Scarlett, just remember you promised me this morning that you would never grow up, so you better keep your promise. We love you!

She woke up to balloons all over her room. She put them all in her crib and loved it!

Christmas is up

We put up all the decorations a couple days ago. Scarlett loves the tree and wants the lights on all day. When ever she sees it she say "twee, twee tute". Translated that is "tree cute." She also loves to do her chocolate advent calender at night, begs for it all day actually. Christmas is so much better with kids!

Santa Train

We decided to go to the Santa Train in Boulder City this weekend. Nick is only taking one class this quarter (due to baby and holidays) so he has time again to play. It was so fun to do something as a family. Scarlett liked the train and tolerated Santa pretty well ( no crying, just would not look at him). We got a big smile out of her when they gave her a sticker and candy cane after. But all of this did not make her as excited as when....

Nick pulled out his iphone and let her play with the camera. Sheesh kids these days:)

Looking out the window as the train started

In case you are wondering, we do her hair. She just insists on yanking it out in the car. Poor hair, soon there may be none left.
