Las Vegas to SLC to Rexburg

Caity has been in glorious London the past couple of months. Since BYUI started just 3 days after she was going to return home she flew into Salt Lake instead of Las Vegas. From Salt Lake she would just be a quick drive to Rexburg. Easy peasy right? Wrong. I had my baby while she was gone and she felt terrible she would not see her until she came to Vegas in 6 weeks. So my mom and I got a great idea to drive up to Salt Lake and meet her. We would surprise her with my presence (and my babies). I love having my presence be a gift. At the airport I went in to go find her because of course we had forgot our cell phones. I ran inside and literally ran into her. We screamed and then started crying. It was so wonderful to finally see her in person and laugh and talk. Homecomings are a wonderful thing. Of course she was overjoyed to see me or maybe just to see me kids. Scarlett looked at her and said "taty" with a smile. Alice just laid there but I am sure she was excited too. From SLC we drove up to Rexburg (ummm pretty much just potatoes farms/cows up there). We left the truck with Caity and mom and me with kids flew home. It was a lot of traveling but the kids did great. Scarlett of course had way to much energy and the baby hated her car seat but overall they were fantastic. It was so worth it to see Caity!

Bathroom in my grandma's house. I love it

What's on my grandma's dresser. I have stared at and touched these things my whole life. You can see a picutre on the right side when they were young.

Eating breakfast. My grandpa always reads the paper while my grandma gets him breakfast. Old fashion love.

Eating lunch as this great fish place. My grandma LOVES crab/fish

The bedroom in the basement. It used to be my aunt Ginger's. It is the cutest little girls room with matching beds. I want it! I thought Scarlett would be scared in the basement, like I used to be, but she loved it. She even kissed the flowers and hearts on the wall goodnight.

Rexburg temple. Of course Scarlett freaked out and said over and over "temple with moroni on top" . It comes out "temple with roniontop"
It was so cold. We could only take a walk for a couple of minutes

Our fantastic hotel room. The hotel was in a potatoe field. Only in Rexburg

Alice 2 months

Little Alice is the best baby and makes having 2 small ones so easy. She wakes only once at night, is happy when she is awake, and lets me kiss on her all day. I give her thousands of kisses a day, when you have a baby as cute as her kisses are essential.

Her new tricks
1. Smiles all the time (but they are tricky to catch on camera)
2. Starting to baby babble
3. Takes 2 good naps a day with a couple cat naps
4. Is so tall that 0-3 months clothes are way too short
5. Hates her car seat and mean hates it!
6. Has a double chin I love to kiss
7. Loves to be bundled when she is asleep
8. Can hold her head up pretty good
9. Sleeps in her own room and big crib
10. Is the sweetest most beautiful baby

If I could describe Alice in one word... content

Easter

My family (I love saying that)

Cute sisters

Easter Outfits

Easter Basket for both girls

Easter dinner and egg hunt at the Strobelt's home

All she wanted was the candy. She LOVES candy

She was yelling "off". Love it

It was a gorgeous Easter day filled with family and thoughts of the Savior. On the way home Scarlett was begging to listen to the "temple song". For the first time she started to sing along. I love to watch Scarlett learn about the gospel and for her to feel her Savior's love.

April so far...

April has been a fun month so far and we still have over half left. Here is what we have been up to...

Panera Bread for lunch before my parents went to England/Paris for 10 days

Visiting Lied Children's Muesum with Emily and her Kids. It hasn't changed in 20 years since, still tacky but fun.
She loved the wind tunnel, of course.

She is in love with "george" these days. All she wants to do is watch the show. So lucky they had a "curious george" exhibit .

Making big huge bubbles
So lucky these boys are nice to play with her

Dying Easter eggs with Emily/Jordan and their boys

BIG girl bed

Scarlett started to sleep in her new bedroom and bed last week. With as curious and adventurous as she is she has never climbed out of her crib or even attempted to escape but I was still nervous for her to have such freedom. Would she drive me crazy by leaving her room? Would she wander around at night? Would we have to baby proof the door to prevent escaping? None of the above. She has been fantastic (very surprising if you know her) We leave the door opened a crack and she will stay right on her bed and read books/play with her bunny till she falls asleep. No escaping. In the morning she calls "mom come get me". It's cute and I love her.

I did all the decorating and painting before Alice was born. I am glad I did, it would not happen now. I made the curtain and the two magnet boards, my mom did not even help me!

My favorite part about decorating my girls' rooms is painting their murals. I love picking the picture and colors and seeing it all come together. Scarlett is in LOVE with butterflies, which she calls "flys". So her room had to be butterfly themed. Here is Scarlett's old room mural. Oh, and her green lanterns have have lights in them. I turn them on at night and she loves it. Best part, they automatically turn off after 2 hours.

She does jump on the bed but childhood would not be childhood without that.

Did I mention she loves butterflys? She has to give at least one a kiss before she leaves her room... "bye bye fly, see ya soon".
